Morse Avenue About

Morse Avenue is an independent artist project built around a simple idea: the song comes first.

The music lives somewhere between indie, alternative, psychedelic rock, shoegaze and art-pop, but genre is never the point. Groove is. Bass and rhythm are treated as part of the writing, guitars can be texture as easily as riffs, and arrangements are built around the story each song is trying to tell.

The sound can change radically from one track to the next, but the perspective stays the same: sharp observation, dry humor, emotional honesty, and small, specific moments stretched into something larger.

Across three distinct albums, Morse Avenue explores the complicated business of being human.

CODES examines perception, judgment, memory, and the stories people construct about themselves and one another. HERE follows a single day through humor, routine, loneliness, connection, and the possibility that one simple hello might change everything. ORANGE uses nine colors to tell nine personal stories, moving through confinement, independence, betrayal, desire, fatherhood, freedom, and faith.

Each record inhabits its own musical world, but all three share the same instinct: serious ideas often arrive over music designed to move. Sadness doesn't always need a sad arrangement, and an uncomfortable truth can still have a great pocket.

The songs begin with human experience and human writing. Lyrics, concepts, structures, arrangements, production direction and final engineering are human-led. Generative music tools help realize performances and sonic landscapes, giving a songwriter-producer another way to turn a fully imagined song into a finished recording.

The technology isn't the subject of the work, and Morse Avenue doesn't pretend it isn't part of the process. It is used deliberately and transparently.

The standard remains simple:

Does the song hold up?

Morse Avenue is an authored recording project where storytelling, musical curiosity and modern production methods meet. The arrangements may change. The genres may shift. The commitment to the song does not.

Human written. Human directed. Generative assisted. Song first.
